DLB Pressure Washing, Launches Asphalt Coating & Sealing Service

KINGSPORT —July 21, 2008 — DLB Pressure Washing®, an East Tennessee-based provider of commercial and residential pressure washing, has officially started doing business as DLB Pressure Washing & Asphalt Sealcoating. The owner, Daren L. Bennett, says, “The name has evolved with our new capabilities.”
Previously, DLB has focused on high-power wash/removal of dirt, cobwebs, grime, etc. from stucco, wood siding, brick and vinyl for commercial and residential properties. Today, in addition to pressure washing buildings, dwellings and fleet tractor trailers, DLB applies asphalt coating and sealing to residential and commercial parking lots, driveways and sidewalks. DLB is also a dependable source of wheel stops, raised pavement markers, directional signage installation, re-striping, and curb painting for commercial customers.
DLB’s service expansion required capital funding, which was facilitated by the Kingsport Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship (KOSBE), who helped Bennett write his business plan from scratch and connected him with lenders including Southeast Community Capital and the ECD-BERO Micro Loan Program, making it possible for him to purchase a Sealrite 700-gallon Spray System Trailer unit and a late model pickup truck. “Meticulously following through on the guidance I received from KOSBE and ECD-BERO eventually gained me the access to funding I needed to expand my business. Now, I fully understand that growing my business is a process that is going to take time.” which is why Bennett recently joined the Chamber. “I plan to continue to make use of all available expertise and networking opportunities.”
In addition to a new name, DLB Pressure Washing and Asphalt Sealcoating has launched a new website (http://www.dlbasphaltsealing.com) introducing the company's new service offering. Online, existing customers may make payments, schedule appointments, complete satisfaction surveys, and suggest additional avenues of expansion for DLB.
Daren L. Bennett is a U.S. Navy veteran and graduate of Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He currently works for Nuclear Fuels (Erwin, Tenn.) as a Materials Clerk, and worked for Eastman Chemical Company for six years previously as a Chemical Operator. # # #
