A SURVEY BY DOBYNS BENNETT HIGH SCHOOLÂ
KOSBE has partnered with a team of senior business students at Dobyns Bennett High School, to organize a first-ever Survey of High School Students' Perspectives on Entrepreneurism in the Tri-Cities area. The Dobyns Bennett project team consists of Sarah Taylor, Drew Hammonds, Courtney Kendrick, Dean Rice, and Kelley Combs (the order in which they appear below). The survey will reveal the ideas, opinions, questions, challenges, and plans that high school students have in relation to being entrepreneurial and starting a business.
Results of the survey will be shared by the project team with attendees of the monthly Kingsport Chamber Fourth Friday Breakfast Meeting, on November 21st, as well as the State of Tennessee Economic & Community Development Business Enterprise Resource Office, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.Â
Â
Above, the Dobyns-Bennett High School Global Entrepreneurism Week Project Team is tabulating the results of their survey. To date, they have acquired more than 300 completed surveys. The DB team has been interviewed by Rick Wagner with the Kingsport Times-News, as well as Jeff Hall, host of the DB High School radio station, 90.3 FM WCSK.Â
