KINGSPORT, TN – Today, web-based startup company, Shupe Security (Kingsport, TN), and Tele-Optics, Inc. (Kingsport, TN) announced its intent to merge. Tele-Optics will acquire Shupe Security and absorb its offerings into its Access Control/Surveillance Division which will further extend capabilities.

Shupe Security, established in 2008, is a nationwide distributor of high performance surveillance and security solutions. “Tele-Optics is a proven leader in the business security environment and we at Shupe Security are excited to become a part of the Tele-Optics, Inc. group and extend the offerings to the region� says Jantry Shupe, founder and president of Shupe Security.

According to Tele-Optics,Inc.’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Jeff Hostetler, “We at Tele-Optics are consistently watchful for opportunities to further streamline our capabilities that we can offer our customers. With the expertise that Shupe Security has exhibited, it seemed natural for our Access Control/Surveillance Division to encompass Shupe Security’s offerings to make us stronger.�

The merger is effective immediately. The operations will be held at the existing Tele-Optics, Inc. location at 1041 Tidewater Court in Kingsport, TN. The extent of Shupe Security’s future projects will be that of Tele-Optics, Inc.’s Access Control/Surveillance Division, and Shupe Security as a separate organization will dissolve.

Jantry Shupe will continue such roles in the community as manager of Oak Hill Memorial Park, Funerals, and Cremations, Kingsport Board of Mayor and Alderman, and others.
