KINGSPORT, Tenn. –The Small Business Development Center ETSU – Kingsport Affiliate will host How to Save for Retirement as a Small Business Owner on Tuesday, May 12, 4-5 PM, at your Kingsport Chamber of Commerce. The training is co-sponsored by the Kingsport Office of Small Business Development and Entrepreneurship (KOSBE), your Kingsport Chamber of Commerce, and Integrity Capital Management.

The training is open to small business owners who are interested in learning more about planning for their retirement. Topics of discussion include why saving for retirement is critical, an overview of different retirement savings options, the pros and cons of different retirement savings options, and how to get started with saving.

KOSBE Executive Director Aundrea Wilcox said, “It isn’t uncommon for small business owners to spend so much time in their business that they aren’t adequately prepared for retirement and life after owning a business. This training is a great opportunity for small business owners to learn more about the different types of retirement plans and just how important it truly is to prepare for retirement.”

This training will be led by Angie Chapman, Certified Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and Owner & Investment Advisor of Integrity Capital Management. Chapman is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and a recipient of The Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” award in 2000.

This is a free training, but pre-registration is required. Please R.S.V.P. online at http://bit.ly/sbor512 or to Dana Glenn at 423.392.8825 or dglenn@tsbdc.org.
